In Switzerland, “Ernährungsberater/in” (registered dietitian) is a protected title that requires a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics. The professional association is SVDE (ASDD in French). For sports nutrition there is also the Swiss Sports Nutrition Society (SSNS) certification. For certain conditions and with a doctor’s prescription, basic health insurance covers sessions with registered dietitians.
